The Corrigans
Gene and Chris have four wonderful children. Elizabeth, Ryan, Hilary, and Patrick. Christine was a Spanish teacher at Mohawk Central School for many years,
Gene taught science in Little Falls and then ran a lumber store until they became the owners of the Lake House in 1997.
The Corrigans love living on the lake and meeting people from all over the world as they discover the Leatherstocking Region,
Cooperstown, Upstate New York and the many surrounding areas of beauty, historical significance and local interest.
Gene and Chris have many hobbies. Their favorite is running the two dog sled teams on the frozen lake. During the warmer months they love canoeing, kayaking, boating and fishing.
The Corrigans also really enjoy listening to DooWop music and going to as many concerts as they can, which is often why they host dinner and dancing with live music on the weekends.
Among their favorite groups is Kenny Vance and the Planotones.
They anxiously wait for the snow to fall in anticipation of taking the sleds out this winter. In 2002 Gene and Chris adopted a retiring dog team that had given tours in Yellowstone National Park.
Gene drove across the country to Montana to bring back this powerful, experienced, and dedicated team. Since then they have enjoyed many wintry rides with the dogs. You can meet the team while you are here. They love company!
